Khushmita Boutique Homestay sits in Village Laida - the last untouched village of the Tirthan Valley, about 10 km before Jibhi - surrounded by 6,000 to 8,000 apple trees in the family's own orchards. Far from traffic and DJ noise, it is a place for peace, fresh mountain air and real Pahari hospitality. There are 6 cosy wooden guest rooms (2 guests each, up to 12 guests in all) with 2 clean shared washrooms. The big panoramic balcony looks out over the orchards and the valley - perfect for sunrise tea, stargazing or working with fast Wi-Fi. There are also indoor and garden sitting areas. Food is a highlight: fresh local dishes like Siddu, Babru, Chilla and Behuri Paratha, served in traditional bronze thalis, with pure desi ghee, local honey and homemade apple jam from the orchard. Guests are welcomed with a traditional Kullvi cap. The family can arrange guided orchard walks and fruit picking in season, and treks to Laida Waterfall, Kalotandi and Tungru. Free parking, room heaters and warm bedding for the winter.
